Creating a new brand and website
I was recently commisioned to create new website for Applied Learning Solutions - a training provider for the newsagent industry. However it was apparent when I looked at the existing collateral that not only did the client need a new website but that the existing brand was in need of a refresh, not only to guarantee a professional approach but also to ensure the brand worked well online. ALS agreed with my recommendation and asked me to work on more than just the website for them.
As a result I developed a new logo with reference to a paperclip, a symbol synonymous with office based training - the primary focus of the clients business. To work with this the client requested a fresh approach and a point of difference from competitors without alienating their clients. A fresh colour palette of blues and greens has been used to convey this along with images representing the core audience.
The website has been designed to hold core information as well as a training calendar which the client is able to add to by means of the back-end admin facility. To date the website has already received a number of positive comments from high profile clients of ALS, even though it has only been live a matter of days.
